Coco and Mindie are close cousins: both are assistants you text to set reminders, keep lists and manage Google Calendar or Outlook. Coco covers more ground, with Telegram, reminders sent to friends, event editing and 100+ languages. Mindie is narrower but adds Notion, a monthly plan you can pay month to month, and a trial with clear terms.

## The short answer

- **Choose Coco if** you also use Telegram, want to send reminders to friends, need to edit calendar events from chat
- **Choose Mindie if** you keep notes in Notion, want one plan with every feature at a monthly price, or want habits, goals and a morning briefing in the same chat.

## Where Coco does more

Coco reaches more people and more places. It runs on Telegram as well as WhatsApp, and it can send reminders to friends, so a reminder can go to a friend instead of to you. Mindie talks only to you, in your own chat.

On calendars, Coco's website lists editing alongside creating and viewing events. Mindie can add an event, list what's coming and delete one, but to change an existing event you'd delete it and add it again, or edit it in the calendar app.

Coco also lists internet search and long-term memory on its Ultimate plan, and its 100+ languages are far more than Mindie's seven. If you write in a language Mindie doesn't cover, that settles it.

## Where Mindie does more

Notion is the clearest difference. Connect Notion once, share a database, and any message with a #hashtag becomes a page there: "#reading the novel Ryan recommended" lands with the hashtag as its category. Ask for your latest Notion notes and Mindie reads them back. See [Notion on WhatsApp](/features/notion-whatsapp).

Mindie also has no per-feature counters. Images and voice notes come under one plan, with a fair use limit of 1,000 messages a month. Coco's Executive plan caps images at 20 and searches at 30 a month, per its website, with higher or no limits on Ultimate.

And Mindie's image reading goes straight into action. Send a screenshot of a train ticket and say "remind me the night before", or a photo of a handwritten list and it's saved as a list. Coco lists images on its website too, with a monthly cap on Executive.

## Calendars side by side

Both connect to Google Calendar and Outlook. With Mindie you connect from the web dashboard using Google's or Microsoft's own sign-in, and can link both. A sentence like "team lunch Friday 1pm at Cafe Rio, every month until June" becomes a repeating event in your timezone. New events go to Google unless you say "to outlook". More in [Outlook Calendar on WhatsApp](/features/outlook-calendar-whatsapp).

If editing events by chat is something you'd do weekly, Coco is the better tool for that job today.

## Which should you pick?

Coco suits people whose day runs across WhatsApp and Telegram, and who coordinate with friends. Its Executive plan is also cheaper per month if you're happy to pay for a year.

Mindie suits people who want WhatsApp to feed their calendar and their Notion workspace, who'd rather pay monthly, and who don't want to track image or search counts. The morning briefing and Sunday recap are off or on as you like, and you can reply to either to move anything still open.

## Price

At the time of writing, Coco's website lists Executive at $4 a month and Ultimate at $12 a month, billed annually, with annual billing saving "up to 50%". Monthly prices and trial length aren't stated on the page, though a free trial is offered.

Mindie is one plan: $9 a month or $90 a year (two months free). A $99 lifetime plan is open to the first 50 buyers outside the UK and EU. The 7-day trial includes every feature and 50 messages; a card is saved, nothing is charged during the trial, and Mindie texts you two days before it ends. The first payment has a 7-day money-back guarantee, and texting "cancel" ends the plan. See [pricing](/pricing) or [start your trial](/signup).
