Outlook Calendar, from your WhatsApp
Updated .
You can add Outlook Calendar events from WhatsApp by connecting Outlook to Mindie and texting the meeting in plain words. Send "add client review on Wednesday 4pm to outlook" and Mindie puts it straight into your Outlook calendar, then confirms the day and time in the chat. Checking your schedule works the same way: ask, and your meetings come back as a message.
Outlook is where a lot of work calendars live, but plenty of meetings are agreed somewhere else. A supplier says "Thursday at 11 works" on WhatsApp. A colleague voice notes you a new time while you're out. On a phone, opening Outlook, finding the right day and filling in the event form is slow enough that people put it off and then forget. Mindie lets you capture the meeting in the same app where it was agreed.

How to connect Outlook Calendar to WhatsApp
- Sign up at getmindie.app to start a 7-day free trial with every feature.
- Link WhatsApp. The website shows a six-digit code. Text "verify" and the code to Mindie and your number is linked.
- Connect Outlook from the dashboard. On the integrations page, choose Outlook Calendar and sign in through Microsoft's own sign-in. Your Microsoft password goes to Microsoft, not into a chat message.
- Send a meeting. "Quarterly planning on the 14th from 10 to 11:30, room 3B" is enough.
- Check Mindie's reply. It repeats back the title, date and time, so a wrong day is easy to fix before it matters.
Examples for a working week
| You send | Mindie does |
|---|---|
| add client review on Wednesday 4pm to outlook | Creates "Client review" on Wednesday, 4:00 pm in Outlook |
| supplier call Thursday 11am to 11:30 | Adds a 30-minute event with an end time |
| team sync every Monday 9:30am for 8 weeks | Sets up a weekly repeating event that stops after 8 meetings |
| board meeting on the 3rd at 2pm, location head office | Saves the event with its location |
| what do I have this week? | Lists the week's meetings and reminders |
| remind me about the client review | Sends you a WhatsApp nudge 15 minutes before it starts |
| delete the supplier call | Asks you to confirm, then removes it only after your yes |
Events support a title, date, start and optional end time, a description and a location. Repeats can be daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, ending after a set count or on a date you choose. Everything is created in your own timezone.
Meetings agreed on WhatsApp, saved to Outlook
The most common moment is right after someone confirms a time. Instead of leaving the chat, switch to Mindie and type one line. If you're driving or walking between meetings, send a voice note: Mindie transcribes it and treats it the same as typed text. If the meeting details came as an image, like a booking confirmation or an invite screenshot, send the image with "add this to outlook" and Mindie reads the text in it.
Mindie can't read your other chats, so it won't spot the meeting on its own. That's on purpose: it only ever sees what you send to it.
Using Outlook and Google Calendar together
Many people keep two calendars: Outlook for work, Google for family, gym and personal plans. Mindie can hold both connections at once. Without any extra words, a new event goes to Google Calendar. Add "to outlook" and it goes to Outlook. A simple habit that works: say "to outlook" for anything work related, and leave everything else as it is. The Google Calendar page covers the personal side.
If Outlook is the only calendar you connect, there's nothing to remember: events go there.
Who it suits
- Office workers and managers whose day runs on Outlook but whose quick decisions happen in WhatsApp.
- Sales and account teams who confirm calls with customers over chat and need them in the work calendar.
- Consultants with one client calendar in Outlook and their own plans somewhere else.
- People who repeat the same meeting, like a weekly one-to-one or a monthly review, and want it set once. For repeating nudges outside the calendar, see recurring reminders.
What Mindie doesn't do
- No invitations or messages to others. Mindie only talks to you, in your chat with it. It doesn't post in WhatsApp groups or contact attendees.
- It doesn't read files. PDFs, documents and videos are skipped. Screenshots and photos work.
- It's not a writing tool. Ask it to draft an email or a report and it will tell you that's outside what it does. It handles calendar events, reminders, notes and lists.
- A reminder isn't an alarm. Meeting reminders arrive as WhatsApp messages and follow your WhatsApp notification settings.
Privacy
Outlook is connected through Microsoft's own sign-in, and you can disconnect it from the dashboard whenever you want. Mindie sees only the messages you send it, not your other chats or contacts. Your messages are never sold or used to train AI models. To wipe your chat history, text "clear our chat". More in the privacy policy.
Cost
Try everything free for 7 days. After that it's $9 a month, or $90 a year with two months free. The first payment comes with a 7-day money-back guarantee, and texting "cancel" ends the plan any time. See pricing.
Questions
Can I add an Outlook event from my phone without opening Outlook?
Yes. Once Outlook Calendar is connected to Mindie, text the meeting in WhatsApp, such as "client review on Wednesday 4pm", and it's added to your Outlook calendar.
How do I connect Outlook Calendar?
Go to the integrations page in the Mindie dashboard and sign in with Microsoft's own sign-in screen. You can disconnect it there at any time.
I have Google Calendar too. Where do new events go?
If both are connected, events go to Google Calendar by default. Add "to outlook" to the message and Mindie puts that event in Outlook instead.
Can I get an Outlook meeting reminder on WhatsApp?
Ask Mindie for a reminder about the meeting and it messages you in WhatsApp 15 minutes before the start, marked as prep time. The reminder is separate from the calendar event.
Can I check my Outlook schedule from WhatsApp?
Yes. Ask "what do I have this week?" or "what's on tomorrow?" and Mindie lists what's coming up.
Does Mindie invite the other people to the meeting?
No. Mindie works only in your own chat and doesn't message anyone else. It adds the event to your calendar, and you can share it from Outlook if others need it.
Can I delete an Outlook event by text?
Yes. Mindie names the event and asks first, and it's removed only if you reply with a plain yes.
Mindie works inside WhatsApp and connects to the services named on this page, but isn't affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp, Meta, Google, Microsoft or Notion. Checked on 27 October 2026.
