NagMeLater alternative: Mindie vs NagMeLater

Updated . Prices and features checked against each product's own website.

NagMeLater and Mindie both live inside WhatsApp and both turn a plain message into a reminder. Both now cover the accountability basics: nag mode, habits with streaks, goals with countdowns and daily check-ins. NagMeLater is cheaper per month, starts without a card and can remind people in a group. Mindie costs more but writes to your calendars and Notion, and reads screenshots and photos. Pick based on which of those matters more to you.

The short answer

  • Choose NagMeLater if you want the lowest monthly price, a start with no card, or reminders that reach other people in a group.
  • Choose Mindie if you want events added to Google Calendar or Outlook from a message, notes sent to Notion, or a screenshot of a ticket or list turned into a reminder or list.

Where NagMeLater does more

NagMeLater is cheaper: $4.99 a month against Mindie's $9, and you can start by messaging it, with no card. Mindie lets you try it on WhatsApp first, then asks for a saved card at checkout for its 7-day trial.

It also goes a little further on planning. Per its website, you get to-dos with due dates and projects (paste up to 30 at once), AI weekly planning and reviews from daily to yearly. Mindie has a morning briefing, an evening recap, a weekly recap on Sundays and a monthly review, plus habits, goals, an accountability coach and "prioritize" on request.

Groups are the biggest difference. NagMeLater lets you create a group with an invite code and remind other members, who only need WhatsApp. Mindie never messages anyone else: for a message someone else should get, it sends you a link that opens their chat with the text typed, and you tap send.

Gifting a plan to someone else is another NagMeLater extra Mindie doesn't have yet.

Where Mindie does more

Mindie writes to your calendar. Connect Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, or both, and a sentence like "dentist Thursday 4pm to 5pm at the clinic" becomes an event with a title, time and location. You can ask what's on this week, or delete an event after Mindie confirms which one. NagMeLater's website describes Google Calendar as read-only, used to nudge you before meetings.

Mindie also saves to Notion. Add a #hashtag such as #ideas or #work and the message becomes a page in the Notion database you shared, with the hashtag as its category. "Show my latest Notion notes" reads recent pages back. No Notion connection is described on NagMeLater's website.

Then there are images. Send Mindie a screenshot of a flight booking, a photo of a handwritten shopping list or an appointment card. It reads the text, saves a list as a list, and turns a booking into a reminder or calendar event when you ask. More on that in screenshot to reminder.

Reminders themselves

On plain reminders the two are close. Both handle one-off and repeating reminders, both transcribe voice notes, and both let you change things by replying. Both handle every weekday, every N hours and every other week, and both let you snooze, undo and set deadlines that come with heads-ups beforehand. Mindie can cap a repeat with a count or end date, and sets a reminder about a meeting 15 minutes early as prep time.

Mindie reads English (typos and shorthand included), Spanish, French, German and Portuguese, so "recuérdame mañana a las 8 ir al gimnasio" works as well as English. NagMeLater detects your timezone from your phone number; Mindie uses your own timezone too.

Which should you pick?

If price matters most, or you want family or a small team to remind each other in WhatsApp, NagMeLater is aimed right at you.

If your problem is that plans live in too many places, Mindie is the better fit. It puts events in your calendar, sends notes to Notion and pulls dates out of screenshots, so WhatsApp becomes the front door to the tools you already use.

Neither choice locks you in. Both offer a 7-day trial with every feature, so you can run the same week of reminders through each.

Price

NagMeLater's website lists $4.99 a month or $99 once for lifetime, with every feature on every plan and a 7-day trial that needs no card. Mindie is $9 a month or $90 a year (two months free), with a $99 lifetime plan for the first 50 buyers outside the UK and EU. Mindie's trial lasts 7 days and includes 50 messages; a card is saved but nothing is charged, and Mindie texts you two days before it ends. There's a 7-day money-back guarantee on the first payment, and you cancel by texting "cancel". See pricing or start a trial.

Questions

Is NagMeLater cheaper than Mindie?

On a monthly plan, yes. Its website lists $4.99 a month, while Mindie is $9 a month or $90 a year. Both list a $99 lifetime option at the time of writing.

Does Mindie have a nag mode like NagMeLater?

Yes, if you ask for it. Say "nag me until I do it" and the reminder comes back every 30 minutes, at most 3 times, until you reply done. You can also turn it on for every reminder in Settings. NagMeLater describes a similar nag mode.

Can either one remind other people?

NagMeLater says it can, through groups with invite codes where members only need WhatsApp. Mindie only messages you, in your own chat, and doesn't post in groups.

Which one works with Google Calendar?

Both, in different ways. Per its website, NagMeLater reads Google Calendar and nudges you before meetings. Mindie adds, lists and deletes events in Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar from a sentence.

Do I need a card for the free trial?

NagMeLater says its 7-day trial needs no card or signup and charges nothing when it ends. Mindie's 7-day trial saves a card at checkout, charges nothing during the trial and texts you two days before it ends.

Is there a NagMeLater alternative with a lifetime deal?

Mindie has a $99 lifetime plan for the first 50 buyers, not available in the UK or EU. NagMeLater also lists a $99 lifetime plan on its website.

Can Mindie read screenshots or save to Notion?

Yes. Send a screenshot of a booking or a list and Mindie reads the text, and a message with a #hashtag becomes a Notion page once Notion is connected. Neither is described on NagMeLater's website.

Mindie isn't affiliated with the other products named here. Their details come from their own websites and app listings and can change. Checked on 3 November 2026. Sources: NagMeLater's own website and pricing details; Mindie's own product.
