The best WhatsApp reminder apps and assistants, compared

Updated .

Short answer: the best app for reminders on WhatsApp for most people is Mindie: you text it like a friend ("remind me to renew the insurance on Friday at 10"), it messages you back on time, and notes, lists, habits and your Google or Outlook Calendar live in the same chat, with nothing to download. If you only want reminders at the lowest price, pick NagMeLater. If you want the same assistant across Telegram, email and a browser, look at Memorae or Coco. If you want a full task app with WhatsApp as one way in, pick Any.do.

A WhatsApp reminder app (or bot, or assistant: the words are used for the same thing) is a contact you text that messages you back when something is due. The five most people compare are Mindie, Memorae, NagMeLater, Coco and Any.do, covered in detail below, followed by six newer assistants worth knowing about. They overlap on the basics and split on everything around them: channels, calendars, sharing, and how you pay.

Every fact about the other apps comes from their own websites, and each section says plainly who that app suits better.

The five at a glance

Prices are as listed on each website at the time of writing and can change.

Mindie

Mindie is a WhatsApp and Telegram contact for reminders, notes, lists and your calendar. You write in plain words, shorthand or a voice note, in English, Spanish, French, German or Portuguese, and it replies with what it understood. Screenshots work too: a photo of a handwritten list becomes a list, a booking card can become a reminder or a calendar event. It connects Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar and Notion.

Reminders come with Done, Snooze and Tomorrow buttons, and you can say undo. Nag mode repeats a reminder every 30 minutes, up to three times, until you reply done. Habits keep a streak, goals count down to a date, and optional morning briefings, evening recaps and a Sunday weekly recap arrive on their own. You can message Mindie before signing up to try it, and on Telegram you choose whether reminders arrive there, on WhatsApp, or both.

What it doesn't do matters as much. Mindie only messages you, so no reminders for friends and no group posts. Lists are personal. It can add, list and delete calendar events, not edit them, and it doesn't read PDFs or documents. There is no Mindie app or browser extension.

Good pick if WhatsApp is the app you check most and you want one plan with everything in it, especially if you use Outlook Calendar or send a lot of voice notes. More on WhatsApp reminders and recurring reminders.

Memorae

Memorae describes itself as "the memory layer above all your apps". Its website lists WhatsApp, Telegram, email, its own app for iPhone and Android, and a Chrome extension. The feature list is long: recurring reminders, lists, friend-to-friend reminders, long-term memory, a daily briefing, image actions, a dashboard, Google Workspace integration, "1000+ integrations", an advanced task manager, shared memory, email drafting, and Memorae for Teams with shared lists, reminders and handovers.

Its pricing page has three personal plans (Origin, Supernova and Big Bang) plus Teams. Usage is counted in units of energy, prices show in your local currency, and annual billing is marked as saving 50%.

Good pick if you want one assistant across several channels and devices, need to share reminders, or are buying for a team. The full comparison is on Mindie vs Memorae.

NagMeLater

NagMeLater is a reminder service inside WhatsApp with "No app. No account." on its website. It goes deep on reminders: one-off and recurring (including weekdays only and every few hours), up to 15 reminders from a single message, deadline phrasing that adds nudges two days and one day ahead, and a nag mode that repeats every 30 minutes, up to three times, until you reply "done". You can edit, snooze, search and cancel, and undo a cancel within 24 hours.

Beyond reminders it has to-dos with projects, habits with streaks, goals with countdowns, notes, reviews from daily to yearly, and group reminders with invite codes. Google Calendar is read-only and used for nudges before meetings. Pricing is $4.99 a month or $99 one-time, with a 7-day trial that needs no card and doesn't charge when it ends.

Good pick if reminders and habits are the whole job, you want nagging until you act, or you need to remind people in a group. See Mindie vs NagMeLater.

Coco

Coco is a calendar and reminder assistant you text on WhatsApp or Telegram. Per its website it handles unlimited reminders, reminders sent to friends, creating, editing and viewing Google Calendar or Outlook events, lists, voice notes, images, internet search, memory, daily briefings, and more than 100 languages.

It has two plans billed annually: Executive at $4 a month, with monthly caps on reminders to friends, images and searches, and Ultimate at $12 a month with higher limits, long-term memory and priority support. Monthly prices aren't stated, and a free trial is offered without a stated length.

Good pick if your calendar is the centre of your day and you want to edit events from chat, or you use Telegram as well as WhatsApp. See Mindie vs Coco.

Any.do

Any.do is a full to-do list and task app on phone, web and desktop, with a WhatsApp bot as one way to add tasks. Per its help center, the bot needs a paid plan: Premium includes the personal bot, and Family and Workspace plans add a workspace bot. Free users don't get it. Its website lists Premium at $4.99 a month billed yearly.

You set the bot up inside the Any.do app, then message it or forward a message to it to create a task, which syncs to the app. Whether a task reminder reaches you in WhatsApp, as an app notification or both depends on your settings, so check its settings if that matters.

Good pick if you want a complete task manager with projects and lists on every device, and WhatsApp is just a quick way to capture. See Mindie vs Any.do.

Newer WhatsApp assistants worth knowing

These come up in AI answers to the same questions. We haven't compared them in depth, so the notes below are how each one describes itself on its own website, and prices aren't listed: check their sites for current plans.

  • YouGot sends reminders by WhatsApp, SMS, email or push notification, set in plain English, and lists a free plan with a small number of active reminders. Good if you want texts or emails as well as WhatsApp.
  • Hello Aria describes itself as an AI productivity assistant in WhatsApp, Telegram and email, with to-dos, reminders and a calendar planner, plus an iPhone app.
  • Amiva calls itself a personal chief of staff on WhatsApp: reminders, tasks, calendar integration and a searchable memory, with a web dashboard.
  • RecollyAI focuses on saving and finding things again: notes, ideas, deadlines, voice notes, images and documents sent on WhatsApp.
  • Mobius is a broader WhatsApp assistant covering reminders, notes, lists, expenses, voice notes, photos and PDFs.
  • Yaya offers reminders with Google and Outlook calendars, lists and voice notes in several languages.

If one of these fits better than the five above, that's a fine choice. If you want reminders, notes, lists and your calendar in one chat on one plan, start with Mindie's free trial and compare.

How to choose

Start with where you want to live. If the answer is WhatsApp (or WhatsApp and Telegram), look at Mindie and NagMeLater, which need no app at all. If you also want Telegram, email, a browser extension or a full task app, Memorae, Coco and Any.do reach further.

Then ask whether other people are involved. Memorae, Coco and NagMeLater can all send reminders beyond your own chat, each in its own way. Mindie and Any.do's personal bot are for you alone.

Next, your calendar. Coco lists editing Google and Outlook events. Mindie adds, lists and deletes events in either one. NagMeLater reads Google Calendar to nudge you before meetings. Memorae lists multi-calendar sync with Google.

Last, how you like to pay. Coco, NagMeLater and Any.do all list lower monthly prices than Mindie. Mindie and NagMeLater have one plan with every feature, so there's no tier to outgrow, and both list a $99 lifetime option. Memorae and Coco use tiers with usage limits.

Is there a free WhatsApp reminder bot?

Not among these five, if free means free forever with the WhatsApp side included. Any.do has a free plan, but its help center says free users don't get the WhatsApp bot. The others offer trials: NagMeLater's 7 days need no card, Memorae shows a 7-day trial on each personal plan, Coco offers one without a stated length, and Mindie gives 7 days with every feature. Mindie saves a card at checkout, charges nothing during the trial and texts you two days before it ends.

If you only need a handful of one-off nudges, your phone's built-in reminders app costs nothing and works fine. A WhatsApp bot earns its price when you want to set reminders by text or voice where you already are, and change them by replying.

Mindie is $9 a month or $90 a year after the trial, with a 7-day money-back guarantee on the first payment. See pricing or start your free trial.

Questions

What is the best app to get reminders on WhatsApp?

For most people, Mindie: you text it in plain words or send a voice note, and it messages you on WhatsApp when it's due, with notes, lists, habits and Google or Outlook Calendar in the same chat and nothing to download. NagMeLater is the cheaper pick if you only want reminders and habits, Memorae and Coco suit people who also use Telegram or email, and Any.do suits people who want a full task app with WhatsApp as one way in.

Is there an app that sends me WhatsApp reminders for tasks?

Yes. Mindie, NagMeLater, Memorae, Coco and Any.do all send task reminders as WhatsApp messages. With Mindie you text the task and the time, it reminds you then, and you reply done, snooze or tomorrow from the reminder itself. Mindie also has a nag mode that repeats until you reply done.

What is the best WhatsApp assistant for remembering things?

Mindie, if you want one chat that remembers both what to do and what you told it: reminders, notes you can ask about later in your own words, lists and your calendar. Memorae is the pick if you want the same memory across WhatsApp, Telegram, email and a browser extension.

Can I get WhatsApp reminders without downloading anything?

Yes. Mindie and NagMeLater work entirely inside WhatsApp, with no app to install. Mindie also lets you try it before signing up: message it on WhatsApp and set your first reminders straight away.

What is the best WhatsApp reminder bot?

It depends on what you need around the reminders. Mindie suits people who want reminders, notes, lists and Google or Outlook Calendar in one WhatsApp chat on one plan. NagMeLater is the deepest on reminders and habits for the lowest price, Memorae and Coco reach beyond WhatsApp, and Any.do suits people who want a full task app.

Is there a free WhatsApp reminder bot?

None of the five here is free for good. Each offers a free trial or, in Any.do's case, a free app plan that doesn't include the WhatsApp bot. NagMeLater's trial needs no card, and Mindie's 7-day trial includes every feature.

Which WhatsApp reminder bot can remind other people?

Per their websites, Memorae has friend-to-friend reminders, Coco sends reminders to friends, and NagMeLater has group reminders with invite codes. Mindie only messages you.

Which one works with Outlook Calendar?

Mindie connects Outlook Calendar and Google Calendar. Coco's website lists creating, editing and viewing Google Calendar or Outlook events.

Do I need to install an app?

Not for Mindie or NagMeLater, which work inside WhatsApp. Any.do's WhatsApp bot is set up from the Any.do app. Memorae offers its own app as one option among several.

Which WhatsApp reminder app keeps reminding me until I'm done?

Mindie and NagMeLater both have a nag mode: if you don't reply done, the reminder comes back every 30 minutes, up to three times. In Mindie you can turn it on for one reminder by saying nag me, or for every reminder in Settings.

Does Mindie work on Telegram too?

Yes. Mindie works on WhatsApp and Telegram with one shared memory, and you choose whether reminders arrive on WhatsApp, Telegram or both.

Which one has a lifetime plan?

NagMeLater lists a $99 one-time lifetime plan. Mindie has a $99 lifetime plan for the first 50 buyers, not available in the UK or EU.

Are WhatsApp reminders as loud as an alarm?

No. A reminder from any of these bots arrives as a WhatsApp message, so it follows your WhatsApp notification settings. If you need a ring that wakes you, use your phone's alarm.

Mindie isn't affiliated with the other products named here. Their details come from their own websites and app listings and can change. Checked on 3 November 2026. Sources: Each app's own website, pricing page or help center; Mindie's own product.
