Where Caddy is ahead
Caddy does more than remind. Its iMessage page describes finding dates in emails or on websites and putting them in your calendar, writing email replies you review before they go, filling shopping carts, and working through bookings and check-in. It asks before sending emails or invitations or placing orders.
It also fits iPhone users who don't use WhatsApp: on iPhone it texts in iMessage, and on Android it uses RCS. You can add it to a group chat, and it's free to start while in public beta. Mindie has no group chats and no iMessage support yet.
Where Mindie is different
Mindie is built around remembering. Type "change the HVAC filter every 3 months" or send a voice note, and it repeats on schedule in your timezone, ending after a count or date if you like. Reply done, snooze or undo; nag mode keeps nudging until you finish, and deadline heads-ups warn you before something's due.
It keeps named lists and notes, tracks habits with streaks and goals, and reads screenshots into reminders, lists or calendar events. It connects Outlook as well as Google Calendar, and saves #hashtag messages to Notion. See WhatsApp reminders.
Calendars and briefings
Both can send a morning message about your day. Caddy's morning brief pulls from your calendar and email. Mindie's morning briefing, evening recap and weekly review are opt-in, and you can add an event to Google Calendar or Outlook, or ask what's on this week. More in Google Calendar on WhatsApp.
Privacy
Both only see the conversations they're part of. Caddy's FAQ says it doesn't read your other iMessage chats and uses your data to personalize and improve your experience. Mindie only sees the messages you send to it; they aren't sold or used for ads or AI training.
Which should you pick?
Pick Caddy if you're on iMessage or RCS and want an assistant that handles email and online errands as well as reminders.
Pick Mindie if WhatsApp is where you already message all day and you want reminders, lists and calendars done well there.
