Fantastical alternative: your calendar from WhatsApp

Where Fantastical is better

Fantastical is a complete calendar. It connects many account types, shows your time in several views, keeps tasks next to events and adds a weather forecast. With Premium you get scheduling tools like availability links and time proposals, travel time, time-to-leave alerts and calendar sets that switch automatically. The free version already covers natural-language entry and the main views. If you need to see and arrange your week, Mindie doesn't replace that.

Where Mindie fits

Mindie is a contact in your WhatsApp. You text it the way you would text a friend ("pay rent on the 5th at 10am"), or send a voice note or a screenshot, and it replies with the time it understood. If you leave out a time, it asks. When the moment comes it messages you in the same chat, and you reply done, snooze or undo.

Say "lunch with Sam Friday at 1" and Mindie adds it to Google Calendar or Outlook. Ask "what's on tomorrow?" and it lists your events. A screenshot of a booking or an invite becomes an event or a reminder. With the opt-in morning briefing, your day arrives as a WhatsApp message before you open anything.

Using both

Keep Fantastical as the place you look at your week, and use Mindie as the quick way in when you're away from it or on a phone it doesn't support. Events Mindie adds to Google Calendar or Outlook show up in Fantastical like any others.

Price

Fantastical has a free version. Flexibits Premium covers Fantastical and Cardhop, with Individual, Family (up to 5 people) and Team plans, each with a 14-day free trial. Flexibits' pricing page doesn't show the amounts before checkout.
