Zapia alternative: Mindie vs Zapia
Updated . Prices and features checked against each product's own website.
Zapia and Mindie both help you keep track of what's due, and both take voice notes. Zapia has grown into a broad assistant in its own app: it watches your email, calendars and chats, drafts replies, follows up on unanswered emails and summarizes WhatsApp chats you missed, with a free plan. Its FAQ says it's no longer a WhatsApp contact. Mindie stays a WhatsApp chat focused on reminders, notes, lists, habits and your Google or Outlook calendar.
The short answer
- Choose Zapia if you want an assistant app that reads your email and chats, drafts replies, helps with job applications and documents, and has a free tier.
- Choose Mindie if you want to set reminders by texting in WhatsApp, with repeating schedules, nag mode, habits, lists and Notion, and no separate app.

Where Zapia is ahead
Zapia covers much more ground. Its site lists reading email and drafting replies, following up on threads that never got an answer, summarizing unread chats, making bookings, rearranging your calendar when a meeting moves, and help with résumés, interview prep and contracts. It connects to WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Outlook and Slack. Mindie does none of the email or document work.
It also has a free plan that isn't a time-limited trial, with up to 20 scheduled tasks, and its Pro plan costs about the same as Mindie.
Where Mindie is different
Mindie lives in WhatsApp as a chat, so there's nothing to install. Type "call the vet Tuesday at 10" or send a voice note, and it replies with the time it understood. Repeating reminders cover weekdays, every N hours or weeks, monthly and yearly, ending after a count or date. Reply done, snooze or undo.
It's built for follow-through: nag mode keeps nudging until you finish, deadline heads-ups warn you ahead of a due date, habits keep streaks and you can track goals. It keeps notes and lists, reads screenshots, and saves #hashtag messages to Notion. There's no cap on scheduled reminders by plan. See WhatsApp reminders.
Calendars and voice
Both connect Google Calendar and Outlook. In Mindie, add an event or ask what's on this week from the chat. Both take voice notes: Zapia transcribes them, and Mindie turns them straight into reminders, list items or events in English, Spanish, French, German or Portuguese. More in voice note reminders.
Which should you pick?
Pick Zapia if you want a wide assistant app that works across your email and chats, with a free tier to start.
Pick Mindie if you want reminders and lists inside WhatsApp itself, with every feature on one plan.
