Client follow-up reminder on WhatsApp
Updated .
A client follow-up reminder on WhatsApp is a message on the day you promised to get back to someone. With Mindie you set it right after the call, in the same app you just used: "remind me on Thursday at 11am to follow up with Emma about the website proposal". On Thursday at 11, Mindie messages you with exactly that.
Deals rarely die because a client said no. They die because nobody followed up. The proposal went out, the client got busy, and a week later the conversation is cold.

Right after the call
A chain of follow-ups
With context you'll need
When to set it
- Immediately after the call or meeting, while you still remember what was agreed.
- For the day you said you'd follow up, not "sometime next week".
- With a second follow-up if the first gets no reply. Two reminders in one message are fine.
Why follow-ups slip
- The promise lives in your head. "I'll get back to you Thursday" is gone by Wednesday.
- The CRM is too far away. Opening a CRM to log a follow-up is the step that doesn't happen on a busy day.
- Context is lost. By the time you follow up, you've forgotten what they asked for.
Make every follow-up count
- Put the context in the reminder. "He wanted the revised quote with 10% off" means you can act the moment it arrives.
- Save client details as notes. Preferences, budgets and names of their team, ready to ask for before the next call.
- Use voice notes on the move. Leaving a site visit or driving between meetings, a voice note sets the reminder without typing.
How Mindie handles it
- Text or voice-note the follow-up with the day, time and what it's about.
- Mindie confirms the reminder, like "Thursday, 11:00 am: follow up with Emma about the website proposal".
- On the day, it messages you with the details you gave it.
Ask "what follow-ups do I have this week?" to see what's coming. If the client replies before then, delete the reminder by name.
What Mindie doesn't do
- It doesn't message your clients. The follow-up is still yours to send.
- It isn't a CRM. It doesn't track pipelines or deal stages.
- It doesn't read your other chats, so it won't notice a client's reply on its own.
Questions
Can Mindie send the follow-up message to my client?
No. Mindie only messages you. It reminds you to follow up; the message to your client comes from you.
Can I add notes about the client to the reminder?
Yes. Put the details in the same message, like what they asked for. Mindie includes them when it reminds you.
Can I set a follow-up by voice note while driving?
Yes. Send a voice note like "remind me Thursday at 11 to call Emma about the proposal" and Mindie sets it from what you said.
How do I choose when to follow up?
Pick the day you'd want to hear back by, and set it the moment the conversation ends. Three to five working days suits many proposals.
Can I reply to push a follow-up back?
Yes. If the client asks for more time, reply "push it to next Tuesday", and Mindie moves the reminder.
This page explains how to set the reminder with Mindie. It isn't financial, legal or medical advice; check dates and doses with the people who set them. Checked on 31 October 2026.
