Period reminder on WhatsApp

Updated .

A period reminder on WhatsApp is a heads-up a couple of days before your period is likely to start, so it doesn't catch you without supplies. With Mindie, send "remind me on 14 November at 8am that my period is due around the 17th, pack supplies" and it lands that morning.

Most people know roughly when their period is due, but roughly isn't much help on a work trip or a long day out. A short note in your chat a few days ahead is enough to put what you need in your bag.

When to be reminded

  • Two or three days before it's due, to pack supplies.
  • On the expected day, if you like to note when it actually starts.
  • Before a doctor's visit, to gather your recent start dates.

Why it catches you off guard

  • Cycles shift. Stress, travel and illness can move the date.
  • Busy weeks blur together. It's easy to lose count of the days.
  • Nothing is written down, so the doctor's question "when was your last period?" is a guess.

Habits that help

  • Note each start date in Mindie as it happens.
  • Keep a spare kit in your bag, desk or car, and a reminder to restock it.
  • Adjust the next reminder when a cycle comes early or late.

How Mindie handles it

Send a one-off reminder for the next cycle, or a repeating one like "every 28 days". Mindie confirms it in your timezone and sends it on time. Add notes whenever you like, and ask for them when you need them.

What Mindie doesn't do

  • It doesn't predict your cycle or work out fertile days. It only uses the dates you give it.
  • It isn't medical advice. Ask your doctor about anything unusual.
  • It doesn't connect to health or tracking apps, and reminders come only to your own chat.

Questions

Does Mindie predict my cycle?

No. Mindie isn't a cycle tracker. It sends reminders on the dates or interval you give it, like every 28 days.

My cycle isn't regular. Can I still use it?

Yes. Set a one-off reminder for each cycle when you have a rough idea of the date, and adjust as you go.

Can I see my past start dates?

Yes, if you note them. Send each start date as a note and ask Mindie for your notes any time, for example before a doctor's visit.

Can I set a reminder a few days before my expected date?

Yes. If you know your usual cycle, set a repeating reminder for a few days before, so you can pack what you need. It's only a date you've chosen.

Is my information private?

Mindie only sees messages you send it, and they aren't sold or used for ads. Text "clear our chat" to delete your chat history.

This page explains how to set the reminder with Mindie. It isn't financial, legal or medical advice; check dates and doses with the people who set them. Checked on 31 October 2026.
