Internet bill reminder on WhatsApp

Updated .

An internet bill reminder on WhatsApp is a monthly message before the bill is due, and a heads-up before your deal ends. Set it with Mindie in one line, for example "every month on the 10th at 7pm remind me to pay the internet bill", and it repeats every month.

Internet plans often start on a promotional price that quietly rises after 12 or 24 months. The new price shows up on autopay and nobody looks. A reminder before the deal ends gives you a reason to call and ask for a better rate, or to switch.

When to be reminded

  • A few days before the bill is due, if you pay manually.
  • A month before the contract or promo ends. Enough time to compare and negotiate.
  • Every few months, to check the amount. Autopay doesn't flag new fees.

Why the bill creeps up

  • Promo prices end without warning. The letter, if there is one, gets lost with the marketing emails.
  • Autopay hides the number. You see the payment go out, not what it's made of.
  • Equipment and add-on fees. A router rental or a channel pack you no longer use keeps billing.

Habits that help

  • Note the contract end date the day you sign up, and set the reminder then.
  • Keep the account details as a note. Send Mindie "note: internet account 88120, contract ends March 2027" so the call is quicker.
  • Screenshot the bill if something looks off, and set a reminder to call about it.

How Mindie handles it

  1. You send one message for the bill, and another for the contract end date.
  2. Mindie confirms the schedule, like "Every month on the 10th at 7:00 pm", or the heads-up plus deadline day.
  3. It messages you in your own timezone. Reply "done" when paid, or "snooze until tomorrow".

Ask "what's due this week?" to see every bill reminder coming up.

What Mindie doesn't do

  • It doesn't pay, cancel or switch your plan. It doesn't connect to providers or your bank.
  • It doesn't call your provider. Reminders come only to your own WhatsApp chat.
  • It doesn't track prices. Put the amount in the reminder if you want to compare.

Questions

Can Mindie remind me when my internet contract ends?

Yes. Send "remind me before 1 March to call about the internet contract" and Mindie sends an early heads-up plus a reminder on the day.

My internet is on autopay. Is a reminder still useful?

Yes. A check every few months catches price rises and fees you didn't agree to, which autopay pays without asking.

Can Mindie cancel or switch my plan?

No. It doesn't contact providers or change accounts. It reminds you to make the call yourself.

Can I check my bill for price rises?

Mindie can read a screenshot of the bill. Set a reminder to look at it each month, and save the amount as a note to compare.

Should I set a reminder before a promo price ends?

Yes. Set it a month before, so you have time to call your provider or switch.

This page explains how to set the reminder with Mindie. It isn't financial, legal or medical advice; check dates and doses with the people who set them. Checked on 31 October 2026.
